Dannii Minogue forced filming on 'The X Factor' to be cancelled when she broke down during filming.
The reality TV judge sobbed inconsolably when she had to tell a male singer he hadn't made it to the show's final 24 acts.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Dannii felt a real bond with this singer and was heartbroken to be the one to deliver the news.
"She really cares about the people on the show and letting them go is the worst part of her job.
"She started crying and so did the poor lad. It was all so much that the cameras were switched off to give them both time to compose themselves."
Despite being a favourite to win the show, the unnamed contestant was eliminated when the judging panel - which also includes Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Wash - picked six acts each to jet out to exotic locations for further evaluation.

The contestants will then be halved to 12, who will compete in the show's live finals, which will start in October.
Cheryl will mentor the under 25 boys in this series, while Dannii will look after the under 25 girls. Simon will mentor the contestants over 25 and Louis will once again look after the groups.
