Danny Jones was voted off 'Popstar to Operastar' last night (05.02.10).
The McFly singer is the fourth person to leave the show after failing to impress the audience or judges with his rendition of Luigi Denza's 'Funiculi Funicula'.
Danny took the news of his departure well and admitted he was looking forward to have a break from the exhausting schedule.
I've had so much fun. I've learned a lot and I'm going to have a holiday.
He said: "I've had so much fun. I've learned a lot and I'm going to have a holiday."
He and Shakespears Sister singer Marcella Detroit - who performed 'Ave Maria' - received the fewest votes from members of the public and were placed in the bottom two.
The judges - Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Meat Loaf, Katherine Jenkins and Rolando Villazon - were deadlocked in their decision as to who to send home.
This meant presenters Alan Titchmarsh and Myleene Klass were forced to refer back to the public vote - which Danny lost.
There are now just four remaining singers - Nolan Sisters star Bernie Nolan, 'Coronation Street' actress and former Hear'Say singer Kym Marsh, singer Darius Campbell and Marcella - left in the competition.
