Davina McCall For 'This Morning'?

Davina McCall is in the running to present 'This Morning'.

The 'Big Brother' presenter is said to be keen to star alongside Phillip Schofield on the ITV daytime chat show when current presenter Fern Britton leaves in July.

A source said: "Davina has been looking for a new challenge on TV and presenting 'This Morning' would fit the bill.

The chance to do live TV every day would be fabulous. I've known Phillip for years. I'd love to do it.

"She is always game for trying things and would get stuck into everything from the cooking and fashion on the show, to conducting the interviews. ITV boss Peter Fincham is a big fan of hers, so she is definitely a contender."

It has previously been claimed Davina is considering quitting as presenter of Channel 4 reality show 'Big Brother' after this year's tenth anniversary series.

Other people vying for the 'This Morning' role include former GMTV presenters Fiona Phillips, Kate Garraway and Ruth Langsford - who currently presents the chat show on Fridays alongside her fiance Eamonn Holmes - and Gaby Roslin.

Gaby has said: "The chance to do live TV every day would be fabulous. I've known Phillip for years. I'd love to do it."

Earlier this week, it is was claimed experts on the show, such as agony aunt Denise Robertson, chef Phil Vickery, TV pundit Paul Ross and Dr Chris Steele could be facing the axe after bosses announced a revamp of the show.
