Denise Van Outen and her boyfriend Lee Mead have got engaged.

The blonde beauty is said to be delighted after stage star Lee popped the question before whisking her away on a Caribbean holiday last week.

The couple met when Denise, 34, was a judge on the BBC1 talent show 'Any Dream Will Do' which 27-year-old Lee won, landing the lead role in the hit West End musical 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'.

A source said: "Denise and Lee are so happy.

"They are both traditional people and it was a traditional proposal as Lee went down on one knee and then took Denise to St. Lucia.

"Of course Denise said 'yes' straight away! Lee bought a ring that Denise says is beautiful."

The couple - who started dating weeks after Lee won the show in June 2007 - recently bought a house in Kent, and are hoping to spend more time together when the stage star finishes his stint as Joseph later this month.
