Charlie Clements and Jack P. Shepherd are among the nominees for Best Soap Actor at the TVQuick and TVChoice Awards 2008.
The 'EastEnders' hunk and the 'Coronation Street' star will battle it out against 'Coronation Street' actors Rob James-Collier and David Neilson and 'EastEnders' star Jake Wood to be named the winner at the ceremony at London's The Dorchester Hotel on September 8.
In the female category, 'EastEnders' beauties Jo Joyner and Lacey Turner will face off against 'Coronation Street' stars Samia Smith and Katherine Kelly and 'Emmerdale' actress Charlotte Bellamy to be named Best Soap Actress.
Other categories at the prestigious ceremony include Best Soap, in which nominees are 'Coronation Street', 'Emmerdale', 'EastEnders' and 'Hollyoaks', and Best Soap Newcomer, as well as TV categories such as Best Lifestyle Show and Best Reality Show.
If 'Coronation Street' manage to win the Best Soap category, they will make it two consecutive years as the winner.
