Fearne Cotton was horrified to discover her picture on a pro-anorexia website.
The slender TV presenter was stunned by the image while researching 'The Truth About Online Anorexia'- a documentary looking at how the internet is fuelling the eating disorder - as an example of the shape girls should aspire to.
Fearne, 27, said: "Oh my God, what the hell's my name doing there? That's the worst thing I've ever seen.
"To think girls would use that is horrific. I don't want to be associated with anything like this."
I hate the fact I'm on that site with a bunch of people who probably also don't want to be on there.
The former 'Top Of The Pops' presenter begged viewers not to pay attention the websites, insisting she did not advocate their claims.
She implored: "Anything this website says I do not believe. Girls should not try and look like anyone. Be yourself, know who you are, and love yourself - that's the message I want to put out there.
"I hate the fact I'm on that site with a bunch of people who probably also don't want to be on there."
Fearne also tried an extreme diet for the show but gave up after less than a day of existing on just an apple and a cucumber. She also visited school girls and was stunned that pre-teens complained they weren't slim enough.
She said: "I learned loads from those kids but I'm terrified by how much they know about body image, shape and diet.
"One of those girls is 10 years old and has tried a diet she found on the internet."
'The Truth About Online Anorexia' is shown on ITV1 tonight (09.04.09) at 9pm.
