Fern Britton's Foul Mouthed Warm Up

Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield used to "practice swearing" together.

The presenters - who hosted daytime TV show 'This Morning' together until Fern's departure last week - ensured they didn't utter expletives on air by saying them before the programme.

Fern explained: "Phillip is simply the best. His humour is filthy. We practice our big swearing in the mornings so we get it all out - every word you can think of and then some we make up.

When we first got together, we soon realised we were dangerous. When you're laughing so much that you can't speak you think you'll get sacked.

Fern and Phillip - who began appearing on the ITV show together in 2003 - are famed for their giggling fits, with a clip of them laughing posted on video sharing website YouTube receiving 80,000 hits.

Fern admits she is nervous about departing the show, but remains sure she has made the right decision.

She explained to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's a big decision, not taken lightly. I spoke to my husband, family and close friends at length before I took the leap.

"Obviously I have a tinge of. 'I can't believe I've done it!' But whenever I've made a decision like this it's always been right. Now I'm ready for the next chapter."
