Heather Mills has been having ice skating lessons with Kyran Bracken.

The charity campaigner has enlisted the help of the muscular rugby star to get her into shape for 'Dancing On Ice'- which he won in 2007.

He said: "I've been helping her with a few turns."

The pair have been wrapping up warm and spending time together on the ice at London's Alexandra Palace, where the 38-year-old sportsman has been passing on his expertise.

I've been helping her with a few turns.

While he believes she is doing well, Kyran is concerned the competition might be a struggle for the 41-year-old former model because she only has one leg.

He explained: "The challenge is she can really only go one way round as a lot of the weight goes on the inside leg. She's had blisters and lots of pain, but she's a very, very determined lady. I found it hard enough on two legs at first, so full credit to her for what she is attempting.

"But you wonder how far she can progress."

Heather lost her left leg from six inches below her knee in a motorcycle accident in 1993.

Despite her disability, she has vowed to battle through the competition.

She said: "I need to have some back up, so I can do it on one leg if I need to.

"It could be crazy, but sometimes I come out and do a spiral and other times I know I might not be able to.

"Some days, you get a blister and bleed and you can't pop the leg on and I have to try and stabilise my weight."
