Helen Flanagan wants to be a model because of her 'Coronation Street' character's exploits.
The 21-year-old actress is departing her role as aspiring model Rosie Webster at the end of this year and admits her recent storylines have given her ideas to take her career in a new direction.
I've learned through my role as Rosie what I really enjoy. I feel confident and am in my element posing for pictures.
She said: "The only similarity left between Rosie and me is that I too want to get into modelling.

Helen has played Rosie for 12 years and while she has loved her time on the show, she admits she was unhappy with her character's "promiscuous phase".
She told Britain's HELLO! Magazine: "I like that Rosie is confident whereas I'm reserved and shy. I can hide behind her. She's funny and sweet too.
"I didn't enjoy playing her when she went through a promiscuous phase though. Luckily, she shows more heart these days. I think we could be friends if she really did exist.
"But I'd give her some advice and tell her to calm down a bit. She is fiercely ambitious and worships power and money. But despite her flaws, I feel protective of her. I suppose I do love her in a way."
Rosie's exit will be screened in February and Helen - who films her final scenes in December - admits she has no idea how she will depart Weatherfield.
She said: "My guess is that it will be to pursue her modelling career."
