Jack Tweed's Prison Fears

Jade Goody's husband will tell her sons he is in Madagascar if he is sent to prison today (14.04.09).
Jack Tweed, Jade's widower, has been told to "expect the worst" when he is sentenced today for assaulting a taxi driver. He is said to be devastated by the prospect of facing months without seeing stepsons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.
Rather than telling the children his whereabouts, Jack will cover up his absence by saying he is saving animals in the African country - which is the setting of their favourite film, 'Madagascar'.
The 21-year-old promised Jade - who lost her battle against cancer last month aged 27 - he would help bring up the boys alongside their father Jeff Brazier.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Jack's lawyers told him to expect a jail term. He is beside himself that he won't get to see the boys. They have become really close and Jack loves them like his own."
Meanwhile friends of the part-time model are concerned about his health, and say he is struggling to cope with Jade's death and the possibility of jail.
Another source said: "Jack is walking around in a daze. He hasn't slept properly for months and the doctor has given him sleeping tablets. He can't bear the thought of not being able to visit his wife's grave. Jade would be upset if she could see him right now."
Jack will appear in court today in Harlow, Essex, and faces up to five years in prison for his assault on driver Stephen Wilkins after quarrelling about a fare on a drunken night out last year.
The source added: "He has visited Jade's grave every day. It breaks his heart he won't be able to if he's sent down again. He hated his time in jail before and is dreading a repeat experience."
Jack was previously convicted of assaulting a 16-year-old with a golf club in 2006, and sent to jail from September 2008 to January this year. He was released from custody after serving a third of his sentence and placed under curfew, meaning he has to be at his mother's house between 7pm and 7am each day.
