Jade Goody died with a smile on her face.

The 'Big Brother' star lost her battle against cancer on March 22 last year and friends and family are reliving her final moments in a one-off TV tribute show 'Jade: A Year Without Her'.

In the show, her mother Jackiey Budden told her she broke down with Jade's husband Jack Tweed when nurses told them Jade was ready to die and while they were hysterical, Jade managed to remain positive until the very end.

Jackiey said: "I just screamed down the whole house and he wouldn't come in, he just threw all the cushions on him. We grabbed her hand and she just looked, gave us one big smile and then went."

Although she was still smiling, Jack - who married Jade three weeks before her death - admits she was frightened about her passing.

He said: "You could see in her eyes how scared she was."

Jade's ex-partner Jeff Brazier - father of her two sons, Bobby, six, and five-year-old Freddy - also revealed how the boys sent messages to 'Mummy in Heaven' by throwing bottles of letters and pictures into the sea.

He said: "It brought them a lot of comfort. It's not until you actually realise you're about to lose someone or that your children are about to lose their mum that you realise just how precious she is."

'Jade: A Year Without Her' will air on Sunday (21.03.10) at 9pm on Living.
