James Corden cried when he wrote the last episode of 'Gavin and Stacey'.
The comedian - writes the BBC comedy with co-star Ruth Jones and stars as Neil 'Smithy' Smith in the show - admits they both became emotional when penning its conclusion.
He admitted: "It's an emotional time because we're saying goodbye to these characters that we love.
"So the whole thing is very sad and I just hope it can be as good as possible.
"You know, when we wrote the words, 'This really is the end, the end', we were both a bit welled up and we looked at each other and we were sure that's it. I just hope it's good enough."
Ruth and I, we'd like to write something else again but we're inevitably not going to spend as much time locked in a room together.
The 31-year-old star - who is currently filming a movie version of 'Gulliver's Travels' with Jack Black and Emily Blunt - also revealed he hasn't ruled out working on a new project with Ruth, who plays Nessa in 'Gavin and Stacey', in future.
He added to BBC Newsbeat: "Ruth and I, we'd like to write something else again but we're inevitably not going to spend as much time locked in a room together."
The final series of 'Gavin and Stacey' - which stars Mathew Horne and Joanna Page in the title roles - has not yet been given a confirmed transmission date.
