The TV chef - whose spouse Jools is pregnant with their fourth child - never expected to have a large family and admits the brunette beauty can be very persuasive when it comes to "the making of babies."
He quipped: "It wasn't always my plan, not really. It was always Jools' plan. She wants a big family. I'm really happy with my lot. If we had stopped at three children, I'd have been more than happy, but she's very convincing at times when it comes to babies. She's totally the boss at home. I personally think she takes advantage of me! As far as the making of babies situation is concerned, she has a way of talking me into things. I would say it isn't always consensual."
The 34-year-old star - who already has daughters Poppy, seven, Daisy, six, and 11-month-old Petal - is also concerned he wouldn't know what to do with "boys' bits" if his next baby was a boy.
I'd be fine if I never had a little boy. I wouldn't know what to do with boys' bits anyway!
He laughed: "I'd be fine if I never had a little boy. I wouldn't know what to do with boys' bits anyway!"
Although he loves being a dad, Jamie feels "guilty" about not being able to spend much time with the youngsters.
He told new! magazine: "I work as hard as any other dad that works hard. I see the kids every morning and then that's it in the week. Then I'll see them all weekend. I don't particularly like it, but I don't feel guilty because Jools is all over it like a rash. I've got lots of responsibility and it's a shame you can't be a bit more available in the week, but it's tough. If the kids ever mentioned anything, obviously that might change. Over the next two/three years, I hope to be able to claw back half a day on a Friday. Yeah, I miss out on stuff, but I think frankly that lots of dads do and lots of mums do.
"That's why us parents these days are a bit f***ing soft. We feel guilty about not being home a lot."
