The Australian judge - who voted to save Boyzone singer Mikey Graham in the skate-off with 'EastEnders' actress Danniella Westbrook on Sunday night (07.03.10) - claims Mikey should have been saved because Danniella failed to complete the required element of two solo spins in her performance.
He said: "In the skate-off Mikey upped the ante and nailed three solo spins. So how you could put through somebody who couldn't get the required element?
"Mikey was very graceful and elegant and it was a good solid performance. He was robbed. He can be very proud. He shouldn't have gone. I'm shocked the other judges didn't vote Danniella off - there is no doubt everyone has their favourites now."
Why do we have required elements if we don't stick with them? Mikey's performance was solid and he nailed his required element.
The outspoken star claimed the decision to save Danniella by his fellow judges Robin Cousins, Emma Bunton and Karen Barber has made a mockery of the required limit which is set by Olympic legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean on the ITV show every week.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Why do we have required elements if we don't stick with them? Mikey's performance was solid and he nailed his required element."
Speaking about his departure from the show, Mikey was a little more graceful.
He said: "At the end of the day it's just a TV show. I enjoyed it but I'm looking forward to getting back in the band as well."
