Joe Bugner infuriated his 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' team mates by saying Aids was "created by the CIA".

The former heavyweight boxer - who entered the camp after 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Camilla Dallerup walked out of the jungle just three days into the reality show - infuriated campmates when he made the outrageous suggestion on Wednesday (18.11.09).

ITV bosses cut the scenes from the show because they were worried about a backlash from viewers.

Joe's made me feel really uncomfortable with his comments about Aids and the CIA. But I'm going to bite my tongue on this occasion and pretend it never happened.

Interior designer Justin - who is in a relationship with fellow contestant Collin McAllister - was particularly angry and let off steam in the show's Bush Telegraph room after the incident.

He said: "Joe's made me feel really uncomfortable with his comments about Aids and the CIA. But I'm going to bite my tongue on this occasion and pretend it never happened."

A show insider said: "Joe's caused a lot of conflict since he arrived. He's a real wind-up merchant. He loves getting a reaction from people."

The 59-year-old - who has fought Muhammad Ali - previously admitted he's terrified of snakes and bugs.

He said: "I've never slept under a jungle canopy and I'm worried about all the creepy crawlies and things so I'm not going in as a happy man."
