Kandy Rain Claim 'X Factor' Fix

Tuesday 13th October 2009 - 13:00:30

Kandy Rain claim 'The X Factor' was fixed against them.

The girl group - the first act voted off the ITV show on Sunday (11.10.09) - said they were robbed of a chance of winning because producers focused too much on their pole-dancing past.

Singer Coco Lloyd, 22, told the Daily Star newspaper: "We lost the contest before it had even started. Viewers never got to know our personalities, all they got was snippets of our performance and chats about stripping."

Coco and singers Chemmane Applewhite, 26, Azi Jegbefume, 25, and Khatereh Dovani, 24, lost out in the show's sing off against Rachel Adedeji, after their performance of Christina Aguilera's 'Fighter' failed to impress the audience.

We lost the contest before it had even started. Viewers never got to know our personalities, all they got was snippets of our performance and chats about stripping.

The foursome were also left devastated by comments from judges Cheryl Cole, 26 and Dannii Minogue, 37, who blasted their skimpy PVC and lace outfits.

Former stripper Coco added: "If we'd worn long dresses we would have been attacked for being something we're not, so either way we wouldn't have won."

She also expressed her fury over claims she was a porn star who had appeared in "sex flicks".

She said: "I did a strip for a glamour phone download but it's not me having sex. That's not porn."

It was also leaked that the girl band had fallen out with fellow contestant and favourite to win Danyl Johnson - who allegedly told them they would never triumph in the TV show.

The girls have vowed never to strip again.
