Kelly Rowland wants to be an 'X Factor' judge.

The former Destiny's Child singer would love to join Simon Cowell on the singing show's judging panel, because she believes she would be sympathetic to the contestant's dreams and backgrounds.

She said: "Who am I to judge someone's struggle and where they've come from? We have all had difficult battles. It took Destiny's Child six years to get a record deal. Sometimes there is a waiting list and you have to struggle and have patience. That strengthens you, makes you better and more appreciative when you get there. I hope the contestants appreciate that and know that there's somebody ready and willing to take their spot."

Kelly is not the only international star who is being considered for a spot on the show.

I'm thinking we should do something for David Bowie. I think that would be good. Just because he's a great songwriter.

Music mogul Simon has revealed he wants 62-year-old musician David Bowie to perform during next year's series.

He explained: "I'm thinking we should do something for David Bowie. I think that would be good. Just because he's a great songwriter."

Simon has been thinking about next year's show a lot recently.

Last month, he asked Eminem to appear on the show as a guest judge after the music star admitted he wanted to take on judging responsibilities with Dr. Dre.

Simon, 50, is now thrilled about the prospect of incorporating plenty of big named star in the show.

He explained: "I'd love to have them on as guest judges on a theme which would make them comfortable. I've extended the invitation to Eminem already. What did he say? I don't know yet."

Simon is believed to be planning to make changes to the show next year, with a question mark reportedly hanging over Dannii Minogue's future on the judging panel.
