'24' has been named the most addictive TV show of all time.
The US drama - which sees Kiefer Sutherland playing Jack Bauer, a former government agent with little respect for rules who saves America from terrorist threats - took 19 per cent of the vote, in a poll of over 3,000 film and TV viewers.
Darren Bignell, Communications Manager of Lovefilm.com who carried out the survey, said: "Although crime doesn't pay, as our list reveals, it most certainly pulls in the viewers, and shows like '24' have clearly found the right mix of suspense, drama and action to keep us coming back for more."
