'Emmerdale' star Lucy Pargeter is worried her alter-ego will be killed off.
With this job it's difficult to feel too comfortable, because you never know when you're going to go - a plane could drop on The Woolpack at any time and wipe us out.
The brunette actress - who has starred as Chas Dingle on the ITV1 soap for the last eight years -admits she never feels truly secure in the role, as she can never predict where the feisty character's storylines are heading.
She said: "With this job it's difficult to feel too comfortable, because you never know when you're going to go - a plane could drop on The Woolpack at any time and wipe us out."
However, the 33-year-old star admits she would hate to have easy storylines because it would be dull to act out.
Lucy added to the Daily Star newspaper: "That would be so boring for me to play. I love acting out conflict, so bring on the drama and fighting."
Chas' storylines have been quiet recently, but she did become the joint landlady of local pub The Woolpack earlier this year alongside Diane Sugden after she pestered her into selling half.
