Oprah Winfrey is to announce her long-running talk show is coming to an end.
The 55-year-old presenter will tell viewers of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' live on air today (20.11.09) that the show will draw to a close in September 2011, a leaked letter has shown.
The document, written by Tim Bennett, president of Oprah's production company Harpo, read: "Tomorrow, Oprah will announce live on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' that she has decided to end what is arguably one of the most popular, influential and enduring programs in television history. The sun will set on the 'Oprah' show as its 25th season draws to a close on September 9, 2011."

The document also promised a "historic" television moment when the episode airs.
It added: "Oprah's personal comments about this on tomorrow's live show will mark a historic television moment that we will all be talking about for years to come."
A few weeks ago, the star's representative admitted she was deliberating over continuing the talk show or bringing it to an end to move to her own previously announced cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
