Paul Potts' Cancer Scare

Paul Potts feared for his life during a cancer scare.
The opera singer - who rose to fame when he won the first series of 'Britain's Got Talent', in 2007 - has revealed he was left "very ill" in 2003 when doctors discovered he had a tumour and believed it could be cancer.
Fortunately, after further tests and medical examinations, the 39-year-old singer was told the lump was benign and underwent an operation to have it removed.
Speaking at a Cancer Research UK charity event, he told WalesOnline: "I had my own cancer scare with what turned out to be a benign tumour. We didn't find out it was benign until about four months after I had it removed, so I had several months of that worry.
"The way I think of things is there's no point worrying too much about something you cannot change. But it was something which freaked out my family. It made me very ill but nowhere near the same level as with cancer."
Paul's health scare came shortly before his life changed altogether.
Just 12 months after his operation, the former mobile phone salesman married his wife Julie-Ann, and three years later won over the nation when he was voted the winner of the British reality TV show.
Paul is now working on his third album, which will be released later this year.
He said: "We're looking to record something very soon. It's just a case of finalising the content.
"It will hopefully then be released in time for next Christmas and the New Year.
"I'm also touring Eastern Europe through the summer, going to places like Budapest, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia."
