Rachel Adedeji was voted off ‘The X Factor’ last night (01.11.09).
The 18-year-old Londoner - who had been in the sing off between the two least popular acts three times - broke down in tears after losing to Lloyd Daniels, despite him croaking through his song with a sore throat.
Simon Cowell said that, while Rachel gave a better performance, he could not ignore her lack of popularity with the public.
Fellow panellist Louis Walsh described Rachel’s as: "The most emotional performance of the night."
He added: "She's a real trouper, an amazing singer and she works her a**e off."
Louis then opted to save Rachel over 16-year-old singer Lloyd Daniels, creating a deadlock between the judges as to who to send home for the second week running.

The person who had received the least votes from the public phone vote was therefore given the boot.
Upon receiving the news, Rachel’s mentor, Dannii Minogue, said: "I don't know where it went wrong but I'll be banging my head against a wall tonight."
She urged Rachel to continue singing and said she hopes she can emulate the success of boy-band JLS, who lost out in the last year’s competition but topped the UK singles chart this year.
Dannii said: "Everyone adored Rachel. I don't know where it went wrong. I hope she does what JLS did last year and goes on."
