Ricky Whittle Dumped

Ricky Whittle has been dumped by girlfriend Carley Stenson.

The 'Hollyoaks' actors had been dating for two years, and their split is said to be amicable.

A spokesperson said: "Carley Stenson and Ricky Whittle have announced their decision to separate. The pair remain good friends but do not wish to comment any further."

Rumours had circulated saying Ricky had cheated on Carley last December, which sources believe are at the root of the split.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Carley has been crying ever since the split. She loves Ricky but when she found out he had cheated on her, she just couldn't trust him."

Ricky, 27, is currently competing in the BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing', in which he is partnered with Australian professional Natalie Lowe.

He is a favourite to win the show and has regularly hit the top of the leaderboard, but there are fears he could not make it to perform on this week's show - which is being held in Blackpool - after he was involved in a car crash on Wednesday (04.11.09).

He wrote on his Twitter blog: "Was in car crash this morning, then was nearly hit by two trucks on way to work, someone trying to tell me something? Will I make it to Blackpool?"
