Rob Kazinsky's Writing Break

Former 'EastEnders' actor Rob Kazinsky says his ideas for TV shows are a big hit in the US.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I've kind of taken a big step back from acting, and I'm producing and I'm writing now. One of the TV shows I've written has been picked up in the US and is currently in pre-production.

"It's going really well. It's strange, I'm a much better writer than I am an actor, which doesn't say a lot, but it's where I wanted to head and it's going ok."

Although Rob - who played Sean Slater in 'EastEnders' until the beginning of this year - is busy working on programmes in the US, he remains adamant he has no plans to move over the Atlantic.

He added: "I'm working in film at the moment too - it's a good film too, but I can't tell you any more. I'm not living over in America though. This is my home, here, in London.

Rob said in July last year he was giving up on drama altogether to take an apprenticeship as a mechanic.
