Robin Hood is getting a new love interest.
Bosses of the BBC drama will replace Robin's previous female companion, Maid Marion, who was killed off at the end of the last series.
Joanne Frogatt, who plays the new female character, Kate, is delighted to have landed a part in the show, especially its vicious fight scenes.
I felt so bad I nearly cried but he was really good about it
She told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "I got to wear amazing period costumes and I did some fighting in the forest. In one scene I had to kick one of the actors in the stomach – it had gone really well in previous takes but in the last one I somehow managed to split his lip and he needed thee stitches.

Robin – played by Jonas Armstrong - will befriend Kate, a villager in Loxley, and she eventually decides to join his band of men to fight the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and Guy of Gisborne.
At the end of last series, Marion has brutally murdered by Guy. The new episodes see Robin desperate to avenge her death.
'Robin Hood'– which launches in the Spring – will be the last with Jonas at the helm. Bosses are believed to be debating whether to replace him or carry on without the role.
