Roxanne McKee wanted her 'Hollyoaks' character to commit suicide.
The actress is set to leave her role as Louise Summers in the Channel 4 soap and says although she is delighted with the dramatic fashion in which her character bows out, she originally had a different idea for her exit when she first decided to leave the show.
She explained to Digital Spy: "I've known for over a year that I've wanted to leave, so I went to the writers last year to let them know that I wouldn't be signing another contract and asked for a nice exit at the same time. It ended up that they've given me a fantastic exit.

"I originally asked for Louise to commit suicide because I thought that would have been a good exit for her after everything she's been through. But it turned out that I got an even better exit!"
Despite looking forward to embarking on new projects, Roxanne admits she will miss working alongside Jamie Lomas, who plays her on-screen fiance Warren Fox.
She added: "He's been the best pretend boyfriend a girl could have!"
Roxanne's final 'Hollyoaks' scenes air on Channel 4 on December 26.
