Sharon Osbourne Blasts Susan Boyle

Sharon Osbourne has launched a scathing attack on 'Britain's Got Talent' runner-up Susan Boyle.

The former 'X Factor' judge - a panellist on the American version of the show that saw Boyle rise to fame - has caused an outcry after she said the 48-year-old singer looked like a "slapped a**e" in a radio interview.

Osbourne, 57, said: "I like everybody to do well. Even somebody that looks like a slapped a**e. God bless her.

"It's like, 'You go girl'. She does look like a hairy a**ehole."

Osbourne went on to criticize Boyle's facial hair, calling her a "lovely lady" who needed a "Gillette razor".

Footage of Osbourne's interview on American station Sirius XM Radio has attracted largely negative comments since being posted on YouTube.

Boyle became an internet sensation in April after a video clip of her singing show song 'I Dreamed A Dream' on 'Britain's Got Talent' was championed by celebrities including Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

This is so typical of Sharon. She never knows when to keep her mouth shut.

Boyle's debut album - also called 'I Dreamed A Dream' - is already topping internet retailer Amazon's album pre-sales chart ahead of its release on November 23.

A source close to 'Britain's Got Talent' founder Simon Cowell revealed: "This is so typical of Sharon. She never knows when to keep her mouth shut."

Famously outspoken, Osbourne also caused waves in February, when she blamed her quitting 'The X Factor' after four years as a judge on a fellow panellist.

She said: "I left because of Dannii Minogue, simple as that.

"I didn't enjoy working with her at all and the prospect of spending six months sitting next to her, I thought 'my life is better than that'."
