Verne Troyer is reportedly in talks to star in 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

The actor - who shot to fame starring as Mini-Me in the 'Austin Powers' film franchise - is said to have been approached by bosses on the Channel 4 show, who think his stories would make for an entertaining series.

However, Verne is keen to move on after his ex-girlfriend Ranae Shrider sold a sex tape of the couple, and does not want to dwell on the past if he decides to appear on the programme.

A lot of people look at somebody of my stature as being a leprechaun. I'd rather they look beyond that. I can do many things.

Verne, who is 2ft 8in tall, said: "A lot of people look at somebody of my stature as being a leprechaun. I'd rather they look beyond that. I can do many things."

Other stars who are reportedly in talks to star in 'Celebrity Big Brother' when it returns to Channel 4 in January include Whitney Houston and Cliff Richard.
