Vernon Kay may replace Bruce Forsythe on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 'Family Fortunes' host - whose contract with ITV is up for renewal in the spring - may move to the BBC, fuelling rumours that he could replace the veteran presenter on the show and form a husband-and-wife presenting team with 'Strictly' co-host Tess Daly.

Brucie is a legend and if he leaves it will be because he wants to. It's up to him.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Brucie is a legend and if he leaves it will be because he wants to. It's up to him."

The couple previously worked together in 2006, on BBC celebrity singing show 'Just The Two of Us'.

Vernon already hosts a radio show on BBC's Radio 1 and has been rumoured to be in line to replace breakfast show host Chris Moyles next year, which would mean working for the broadcaster full-time.

Bruce joked last year he had no plans to quit the show despite turning 80.

He said: "I've been getting some calls from above recently but I'm not going. I'll go when I'm b****dy ready."

Vernon, 35, married 38-year-old presenter Tess in 2003 and the couple have two daughters together, Phoebe, five, and five-month-old Amber.
