Wayne Rooney is to star in a documentary with wife his Coleen.

The footballer and his TV star wife - who are expecting their first child together - will be followed for several months for the show, which is reportedly to be titled 'Wayne's World'.

A source said: "It's a big step for Wayne to let the cameras in. It won't be too intrusive. Anything they don't like will hit the cutting room floor."

It is believed the programme will show the couple as they go about their everyday lives in preparation for the birth of their child.

Wayne's life at football club Manchester United will also be a focus of the show.

Further details of the documentary are unknown, although Sky One has confirmed it is "in talks" about airing it.

Wayne and Coleen's child is due in October, and it has been claimed they have already been offered £2 million for the first pictures of the new arrival.
