Unfortunately for fans of Kevin Nash, the Superstar won’t be returning to Raw despite a previous announcement, because of his total knee replacement surgery and the amount of pain he’d be in if he were forced to travel. He did take to his social media however to promise fans he would next see them at WrestleMania later this year.

Hulk Hogan, though rumoured to be being given a second chance by the company, also doesn’t look likely to be making a comeback. A racially-charged rant which included a number of racial slurs saw him wiped from WWE and, in a statement to the Associated Press, the company said they remain “committed” to their decision to not invite him to partake.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how all of the confirmed guests will be making their appearances over the three hours allocated to Raw. The show will of course also have to feature the usual match-up between its male and female Superstars, and with just a week to go until huge pay-per-view, the Royal Rumble, there’s going to be a heck of a lot of teasing as to what we should expect from the event.

One of the biggest matches at the Royal Rumble will come in the form of the first ever all-female Royal Rumble match, which will include the usual 30 Superstars battling it out for the opportunity to compete at WrestleMania for their respective World Championship.

WWE Superstar Paige was set to be one of the entrants in the match, but after sustaining an injury following a botched move in a live event where she was competing against Sasha Banks, she’ll no longer be able to take part.

A number of the female Legends making their return for Raw 25 however are expected to announce their involvement in the Royal Rumble. When making history, WWE has a knack of allowing those who helped build the company, but who are no longer involved with competing within it find their place in some capacity. With a Royal Rumble match, that should be easier than ever to fulfil.

Raw 25 airs on Monday, January 22 with the Royal Rumble available on the WWE Network live on Sunday, January 28.
