Holby City-Week 19 Episode 30

Maddy heads out to the car park where the stab victim, Chantelle, is in the back seat of Hannah’s car. She is in a bad way and needs to be brought inside as soon as possible. Chantelle is scared she will be arrested if they take her into the hospital. Maddy promises her that it will be low key. Maddy calls in a favour with Linden and asks if he would mind spending a couple of hours in the treatment room this afternoon overseeing a patient who has fallen through some glass. Linden agrees and Maddy assesses Chantelle’s stab wound, calling Daisha to assist. 

Michael leaves theatre and bumps into Connie who wants to know where he is going. Connie doesn’t seem too impressed that the whole situation is affecting his work. He snaps back at her saying that she has no idea what he is going through and needs to back off. Michael gets a call from the school, Annalese has picked the children up.

With Martha distracted, Ben admits to Elliot that he’s been having problems with his sight. He hasn’t said anything because he thought it was nothing.  The real reason is that he’s terrified of what’s wrong with him. Ben wants to protect Martha as they have been through so much in the last few months. Elliot understands and gets Ben an appointment card for further tests.

Linden gets a call regarding the other stab victim and realises that the two stabbing incidents are related. Linden takes one look at the room and knows that Maddy has been lying to him about the patient and that Hannah is Maddy’s sister. Maddy pleads her case and explains that she’s protecting her sister. Chantelle’s situation deteriorates and as Ric attends to her he recognises Hannah from when she was in Holby before. Ric stabilises Chantelle but wants answers from Maddy. Have the police been notified about the stabbing?  Maddy tells Ric everything and is touched when Hannah tries in vain to defend her. Maddy knows she’s blown it with Ric.

Donna meets with Michael, he is a total mess and Donna can’t help but feel some responsibility. She can see how much Michael is hurting and she feels guilty about the whole affair – she would never have wanted to wreck his marriage. Donna and Michael head to the bar where Donna apologises to him for everything. Michael doesn’t want Donna to blame herself, he takes responsibility for his own actions. Donna does her best to cheer Michael up but he just seems to get drunker as time goes on. Donna gets him a cab and he asks her back to the hotel for company, but she turns him down.

Ric has no choice but to inform the police, who arrive to talk to Chantelle.  Chantelle says that she will get her revenge on Hannah.  Maddy receives a text saying that her interview has been withdrawn.
