Following the success of the original series Evermoor, a second series titled The Evermoor Chronicles was picked up for 20 episodes to serve as a continuation to the original.

September this year saw filming for the show come to an end, and we got the chance to chat to Sammy Moore and George Seer of the show's cast to find out what's in store for viewers and their characters going ahead...

What should fans of the original Evermoor series expect from The Evermoor Chronicles?

George: I think you can expect to see a lot more mystery, a lot more magic, a lot more adventure. You see the relationships between certain characters like Seb and Sorsha, you see that develop which is something I was looking forward to seeing in the script. Of course you see some new characters.

Where will we see your characters going individually?

Sammy: Well you see my character as he's introduced, he definitely goes on quite a journey. Without saying too much he becomes a more accepting human. He starts to learn human values. It's a nice journey actually to watch, see where he goes.

George: Quite a personal journey isn't it really for your character?

Sammy: Yeah it is.

George: I think one of the journeys with my character Seb is that you see a lot of... he's obviously the sceptic science guy, the evidence guy, all these terms he's known as. You get to see him sort of start to not accept the magic but comes to terms with it, embrace it slightly so that's quite an important journey for him.

Sammy: It's a big obstacle he had to cross, isn't it?

George: There's a lot to go through for him.

You guys obviously have great chemistry, what's it like working on set?

Sammy: He's alright! It was amazing. I mean coming in new, as a new member I was a bit nervous because they all knew each other and I remember getting on the train and they'd all be like, 'Hey, how you doing?', and I was like, 'Why do they all know each other? Should I know them?' But they were so welcoming and we all bonded within the first weeks of rehearsals, we bonded straight away. Then that just continued throughout filming. We'd go out to dinner a lot and we just spent a lot of time together.

George: I introduced you to the old gym didn't I?

Sammy: George started taking me to the gym so we bonded there.

George: Bulking up.

Were there any particularly memorable moments shooting on set?

George: There's plenty of memorable moments. One random one's just popped into my head. When you and Finney [Cassidy] I believe, it was one of the last days we were there for, you just started making some really obscure milkshake or smoothie. We have a new set which is my favourite set actually and they had one of these little drinks. It's really cool. You go in there it feels like a proper milkshake bar. They just basically took all these ingredients.

Sammy: We basically pretended we were working there. So George would come in and we were like, 'Hi George, welcome what can we make for you?' Then you'd give us some random name and I'd serve it. We were putting all sorts in. On screen it looked amazing. There's all these amazing colours and there's this green liquid, that's Evermoor juice. It's actually like food colouring or something.

Can you tell me then about a typical day on set, how does it begin? What do you guys do?

George: The alarm at 4am.

Sammy: About 5:45 if we have an early call. Some of us 5:45. George likes to leave it a little bit last minute.

George: Yeah I'm one of those people who can just get up, jump in the shower, throw some clothes on, quickly go, take 10, 15 minutes because obviously I'm waking up super early so I wanted to give myself as much sleep as possible. It usually starts off like that. You get on set, you have your breakfast, get into character so you get into costume, makeup. Then you get called whenever you're needed really and you start by having a bit of a rehearsal with the director, you see where the scene's going to go, what's happening with your character...

Sammy: Crew block.

George: Yeah crew block. All the crew come and watch it and then they start to set up the scene. Then you get on filming it. So that's kind of the day.

Sammy: It's mad isn't it? As soon as you're there, as soon as you're in costume, then you dive right in.

George: That's it, they don't stop. They keep going.

Sammy: It's mad, the schedule's crazy but we got it done.

George: This time obviously it's 20 episodes now instead of four like last year so we kind of have a longer time but shorter time for each episode.

Sammy: Yeah I believe we filmed one episode every three days. That was the plan.

What's it like working for Disney, are you guys enjoying it?

George: Yeah loving it, it's a really great opportunity and it's really good. It's a great company to be working with. The show we're putting together is amazing and everyone is really passionate about it and really enthusiastic. Story's brilliant.

Sammy: It's a big deal, I mean just saying Disney itself is like, it's Disney! It's almost like excitement, happiness, it's Disney. They just go hand in hand. When I was young watching Disney it was like, amazing, so now to be working for them, to be in a Disney show is next to nothing, it's unreal. Couldn't have asked for anything more really.

And finally what's next for you guys?

Sammy: Well, me and George plan to go over to LA, have an experience kind of the industry over there. See if we can make some contacts.

George: See if there's any opportunities over there. Do the odd job every now and then but really we're hoping series two gets picked up.

Sammy: Yeah start filming again. So fingers crossed for this one and that everyone enjoys it.

The Evermoor Chronicles premieres at 5.30pm on 9th November on Disney Channel.
