Omega-level mutant Legion certainly isn’t somebody you’d want to get on the wrong side of. With a multitude of personalities all bubbling away under the surface and attempting to clamber their way to the top, this Marvel Comics character is unlike anybody we’ve been introduced to in film or television before. Check out an exclusive clip from the show's Blu-ray release below:

Dan Stevens takes on the role of David Haller, a troubled young man who’s diagnosed as a schizophrenic, but somebody who knows after a startling encounter with a fellow patient (Rachel Keller) that there is more to his story than meets the eye.

With the help of a psychiatric therapist (Jean Smart) and some unconventional methods, David’s forced to come to terms with the fact that the voices he hears may actually be real, and that he may be part of something bigger than he ever imagined. With danger around every corner, but a slew of incredible powers at his fingertips all waiting to be harnessed, he embarks on a journey not only of self-discovery, but of exploring an entirely new world.

In the comic book world, David Haller is the son of Professor Charles Xavier, but it remains to be seen if this part of the character’s lore will make its way to the television series. What we do know however is that each of his alternate personas seem to be rearing their ugly heads, providing him with a variety of superpowers that both help and hinder him on his journey.

Developed, written, directed and produced by Noah Hawley, the first season of Legion has received a brilliant response both from critics and viewers. With an order for season 2, fans will soon get the chance to revisit the first batch of episodes when they come to home release.

Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Mackenzie Gray all also star, with Quinton Boisclair bringing to life the Devil with the Yellow Eyes.

Legion season 1 arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on October 2, 2017.
