As one of the more recent on-demand television streaming services on the net, Amazon Prime Instant Video has firmly placed itself towards the top of the pile when it comes to such platforms.

With many series exclusively available through Amazon, we've decided to take a look at five must-see series available on the UK version.

Constantine

Based on the popular DC Comics, new episodes of Constantine are uploaded every Saturday so that British fans can keep up to date with the broadcasts as they go out in America. Constantine is a master of the dark arts and knows many ways to get rid of evil demons and spirits - but could he be beaten by some of the most ferocious enemies he's ever come up against?

Transparent

Picking up huge wins at this year's Golden Globe Awards, Transparent tells the story of an older male - Mort - who decides he's finally going to live his life the way he was supposed to, as Maura. With many twists and turns, it's a relatable little slice of action, packed into 10 30-minute episodes that will have you laughing, crying and howling along with those on-screen.

Mozart in the Jungle

In a world dominated by sex, drugs and classical music, this brand new Amazon Original series goes behind the curtains of some of the biggest shows on the stage in America. Created by About A Boy's Paul Weitz, it's sure to impress, and the entire season has just recently become available on-site.

The Fall

If you didn't manage to catch The Fall when it was being broadcast with the BBC, make sure you get up to date on the two seasons now available through Amazon. With a handsome yet dangerous serial killer on the loose, Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) is called in to solve the case - sure to go down in history as one of the most puzzling and violent the city of Belfast has seen.

The Following

This is a show that has split audiences, but for those who enjoy a good thriller it should surely impress. FBI Agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) has retired, but is called out to track down serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) who's managed to escape from prison. With their intricate past revealed throughout the two seasons to air to-date, it's an intense yet worthwhile series that can make you jump at every turn.
