Tomorrow (April 3), The Walking Dead's sixth season will come to an earth-shattering close when one (or more) of our beloved characters spends their 'Last Day on Earth' - also handily, the title of the episode!

In a 90-minute feature length offering, viewers will finally be introduced to infamous character Negan, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who'll be brandishing his perhaps even more infamous weapon of choice, Lucille, a barbed wire covered baseball bat.

Now it's pretty cut and dry that somebody's head isn't going to be going into season 7 looking the same, and in the world of the comic books that person has already been established. But, in the world of television, anything could happen - so just who is going to end up dead? Here are the five most likely options...

1) Glenn

He's the obvious choice. If the show is to follow the comic book exactly, Glenn will be offed in spectacular fashion. Though writers earlier in season 6 bluffed he came a cropper to zombies almost as soon as season 6 started, that could have been their way to make this just as shocking for those who already know his comic book fate all over again. Would they really bluff his death to actually kill him off? Time will tell!

2) Abraham

In the comics, Abraham has already been killed in the way we saw Denise murdered last episode, so his time left in the show is (probably) numbered. He's become a little less likeable as this season has ticked on, so whilst his death would still be a huge blow, it wouldn't have the same effect as perhaps ANY of the other major characters.

3) Morgan

Morgan's a man out of his depth. Unwavering in his decision to refuse ever killing anybody or anything, he's not come to terms with the new world in which he's living. Seeing a man with such a good heart brutally murdered would be a real tearjerker - if Negan doesn't kill him, surely his time is numbered, any way?

4) Daryl

Having just been shot by Dwight but inevitably surviving the wound, it could be that the producers pull the rug right from under the fan's feet, bringing the life of the show's ultimate fan favourite to a close just after those who loved him had been lured into a false sense of security by seeing him survive a gunshot. If Negan was to make perhaps the biggest impact he could possibly make, taking Daryl out of the picture would certainly be his best move.

5) Rick

Hear us out. Rick may be the show's leading man, but Robert Kirkwood has always promised his comic book readers that the character won't make it out of the series alive. In short, his time is numbered. Whether this will translate to the small screen so soon is yet to be seen, but if he DID die, it'd give Daryl the chance to step up and take that leading man role so many fans have already granted him.

Thankfully, we think all the women are safe! Trading a woman's life off in the place of where a man should meet his end TWICE in one season would be, quite frankly, distasteful! What do you think?

The Walking Dead season 6 draws to a close 9pm, Sunday April 3 on AMC in the US, following in the UK on Fox at 9pm, Monday April 4.
