With The X Factor back this month, we've decided to take a look at five of the worst contestants to ever make the live shows - will anybody be able to top this lot when the show's over this year? That's yet to be seen...

Chico (2005)

Chico managed to worm his way all the way through to the quarter finals of the competition, using not only his voice but questionable dance moves and rock-hard abs to progress through the live shows. Mentored by Sharon Osbourne, his memorable moments include jumping into a shallow pool and dancing in the water at her judge's "home" whilst holding a live microphone, and turning a song truly into his own with 'It's Chico Time!'

Jedward (2009)

Despite their weird and sometimes wonderful performances, Louis Walsh was actually onto a winner with Jedward, with the twins rumoured to have made millions off the back of the show. They've represented Ireland twice at Eurovision since finishing in sixth on X Factor, and are now back on the music scene attempting to thrust themselves into the limelight once more.

Wagner (2010)

Wagner was indeed a little bit creepy during his time on the show, and the moment he and Cheryl then-Cole now-Fernandez-Versini got into a spat live on air was awkward beyond belief. Though he had a strange glint in his eye at times, he was altogether harmless and will definitely go down in the show's history.

Frankie Cocozza (2011)

Frankie really had the wrong attitude from the off whilst in X Factor. He slept around, broke all of the rules and didn't actually sing that well. Despite that he had a successful stint in Celebrity Big Brother following the show - finishing in second place - and has since released music that's not done too well in the charts, but has been well-received by his fans.

Johnny Robinson (2011)

Despite seemingly not riding the wave of success music-wise post-X Factor, Johnny has found other outlets to showcase what he has to offer, including numerous presenting gigs. In December 2012, he released a Christmas single, but it didn't do too well and so won't be going down as a classic just yet.
