Alan Carr claims he is constantly pursued by amorous women.

The openly gay TV comedian says he is inundated with raunchy pictures and marriage proposals from female fans, because his sexuality makes him a "big challenge".

He said: "I'm deluged with marriage proposals. I even get naked photos.

"Some women see me in the same way mountaineers see Everest - I'm a big challenge but they still want to mount me and stick a flag at the top."

Meanwhile, Justin Lee Collins, Alan's co-presenter on Channel 4's 'The Friday Night Project', revealed he prefers beer to sex.

He said: "I'd rather have a pint than sex. Far too much effort involved in my opinion.

"Maybe I'm just not very good at it. I'm very good to the point of cuddling. But sex I could easily go long periods without. One every six months would be too often for me."

The comedy pair revealed their dream guest hosts on the show would be Princes William and Harry and legendary singer Aretha Franklin, with the trio dressed as the Three Degrees.

Alan added: "If Aretha came on the show with breasts like that, there's no way she would make it up the stairs."

The sixth series of 'The Friday Night Project' will start later this month.
