She said: "This is the first job where Tallulah Jae has not been with me all time. She's a bit older now, so driving up the motorway isn't as much fun as it was when she couldn't talk and tell me that she hates it!

"I really miss my baby but I have to go and do my job."

Next week, Angela returns to BBC1 screens with the second series of school-set 'Waterloo Road' in which she plays art teacher Kim.
