Angela Griffin is desperate to land a lead role in a drama.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress has confessed she dreams of starring in a big TV drama but thinks she is probably better off in smaller roles.
Mum-of-one Angela, 30, told Inside Soap magazine: "I'd love to play the lead role in a drama. But I'm petrified of it.
"I was the lead in BBC1's 'Down To Earth'. It obviously didn't work, though, because they quickly brought in Denise Welch and Ricky Tomlinson.
"People don't seem to want to watch me in those sort of parts, and I don't get offered them now. I think perhaps ensemble shows with a big cast are best for me."
But Angela isn't too disheartened - she has never been out of work, apart from taking a break to have her little girl, Tallulah Jae.
Angela really misses her two-year-old when she is away filming.
