One of the duo's awards was collected by 'The X Factor' judge Simon Cowell - who won Most Popular Talent Show - who laughed: "I'd like to take some of the credit - in fact, all of the credit - for making you interesting."
Kym Ryder was awarded the Best Newcomer gong, but said she had found the whole award ceremony experience "stressful".
She said: "I didn't know what to say, and my mouth just lost all of its saliva!"
Newly-single 'Doctor Who' star David Tennant delighted fans when he signed autographs on the red carpet outside the Royal Albert Hall before going inside for the ceremony.
When he accepted his award for Best Actor, he said: "Thank you for watching it; thank you for enjoying it. I'm having the time of my life and I'm so glad you're enjoying it."
