Ant and Dec scooped three gongs at the National Television Awards last night (31.10.07), despite being involved in an ITV scandal just weeks before.
The cheeky pair's show, 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' - which was named the Best Entertainment Programme at the awards - was involved in the phone-in scandal, in which ITV bosses conned ten million viewers out of £18 million.
But viewers showed they didn't hold a grudge against the Geordie duo, by awarding them three awards at the prestigious ceremony - including Most Popular Entertainment Presenters, and Best Reality Programme for 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here'.
Ant and Dec are currently in Los Angeles ahead of the start of the new series of 'I'm a Celebrity', but thanked fans via a live satellite link up.
Ant said: "Thank you. We really, really didn't expect this. As Dec has said, this has been a difficult couple of weeks, especially for 'Saturday Night Takeaway'.
"Thank you very much to all the viewers, to everyone that voted for us,
this is quite humbling. We can't wait to bring you series eight of the show next year."
