The Australian Idol contestants are used to receiving regular tongue lashings from the king of mean, judge Ian 'Dicko' Dickson but last night the tables were turned. Fellow judge Marcia Hines ripped into the record company executive saying that he wasn't a singer and didn't have the right to abuse contestants. The argument started after Dicko labelled as "horrendous" Gold Coast teenager Ricki-Lee's rendition of a Beatles song. After being chastised by Marcia, Dicko screamed, "Don't rubbish what I do. I have every right to be here." But on the Night it was Rickie_Lee who the voting public sent packing, When James and Andrew asked the judges to pick the result, they professed to be shocked that Chanel and Ricki-Lee were in the bottom two. After finding that it was to be Ricki-Lee who would be going home, Dicko declared, "This is a scandal" and encouraged Australia "to get off your arses and vote." As Mark noted, "This is not the end, this is the beginning." Never a truer word spoken, Mark.

It's safe to say that Ricki-Lee is here to stay and her music career is assured.

This Sunday night we take a step back in time to the 80s with our final six performers. Tune in at 6.30pm on Network Ten. And don't forget to vote for your favourite performer or they may be following Ricki-Lee out the door.
