The Bee Gees are to make their live return on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Disco legends Robin and Barry Gibb will reportedly make their first TV performance since the death of their brother Maurice - the third member of the group, who passed away in 2003 - on the BBC show.
Signing the Bee Gees is a huge win for 'Strictly'. They're British music royalty and this is their first performance without Maurice.
They are lined up to perform their hit 'You Should Be Dancing' on the show on October 31.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Signing the Bee Gees is a huge win for 'Strictly'. They're British music royalty and this is their first performance without Maurice."
Last month Robin - who was Maurice's twin - announced plans for the group to play live again.
He said: "I've just been with my brother Barry in Miami and we have decided we are going to perform again."
He explained they both felt the time is right to take to the stage as they have "got through the breakwater of emotions" after Maurice's death.
Signing the Bee Gees steps up the ballroom dancing show's ratings war against ITV rival reality show 'The X Factor'.
The two programmes are locked in competition to see who can secure the biggest stars with 'Strictly' boasting Amy Winehouse performing alongside her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield last Saturday (10.10.09), and securing future performances by 80s favourites Spandau Ballet and soul diva Mariah Carey.
'The X Factor' featured a performance by Robbie Williams last Sunday (11.10.09) and has Whitney Houston singing on this week's show. Bosses are also said to be keen to secure a performance by Madonna, though this has not been confirmed.
The source added: "The rivalry between the two shows is fiercer than ever this year. There's no way they're going to share acts. If you're on 'Strictly' you can't be on 'The X Factor' and vice-versa."
