Bobby Davro's soap shape-up

Bobby Davro is determined to shape up now he's a soap star.The comedian - who plays 'EastEnders' charmer Vince 'Vinnie' Monks - says appearing on TV screens on a regular basis gives him the motivation he needs to go to the gym.He said: "I haven't been on set for a while because I'd been doing pantomime over Christmas. But I'm back now and I think my part is going to build up. So now I'm trying hard to lose the excess weight. I'm a bit out of shape, so I'm looking forward to starting my training again."Bobby - whose character is attempting to woo hard-faced Shirley Carter - says he is looking forward to his alter-ego developing some good relationships.He is quoted by Britain's Inside Soap as saying: "Romance is definitely on the cards for Vinnie and Shirley. And I can tell you that Vinnie, Shirley and Shirley's friend Heather are going to become quite a trio."
