Sinitta thinks Cheryl Cole would be "amazing" on the US version of 'The X Factor'.

The 'So Macho' singer - who works closely with her ex-boyfriend Simon Cowell on the UK version of the show - has admitted she knows very little about the music mogul's plans for his upcoming programme but hopes the Girls Aloud singer agrees to be a judge.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I think Cheryl would be amazing but I don't know whether she's agreed or who's definitely on board."

However, Sinitta is certain she will be involved with the American series herself.

She said: "Let's put it this way. I've already asked Simon and he's said it shouldn't be a problem, which I'm taking as a yes. It wasn't really a yes but I'm taking it as one!"

The 41-year-old star has also confirmed she doesn't know much about the plans for this year's British series - because Simon knows she can't keep a secret.

She added: "Is Dannii coming back or is she not? I never know. I'm always the last to know because they know I'll tell the press."
