LEE REFUSES DRACULA QUESTIONS AND AUTOGRAPHS

DRACULA star CHRISTOPHER LEE has agreed to make a free appearance at a London library this weekend (16-17JUL05) - but warned the event's organisers he'll leave if anyone mentions DRACULA or asks him to sign an autograph.

The horror veteran, 83, is famed for evil roles and played the blood-sucking count ten times - but he will only discuss his role as Pakistan hero MOHAMMED ALI JINNAH in the 1998 film JINNAH during a guest appearance for the Notable Asians in Camden Society.

The actor is sick of being remembered for his roles in horror movies like Dracula, so he asked his agent to send a letter to the event's organisers explaining his sensitivity about the subject.

The letter reads, "He expects to address the attendees and members of the press, providing they keep to the subject at hand, which is Jinnah and/or Notable Asians, a subject he dominates to perfection.

"What he does not expect is for anyone to bother him with movies he did over 30 years ago. He will not be signing any autographs, so please make sure no one pushes in front of him pictures or books to sign.

"Note that he will be in a party of six to avoid you having to waste money on bodyguards."
