Cilla Black has started a rigorous new health regime because she's scared of dieing and leaving her children parentless.

The former 'Blind Date' host says she's become determined to keep fit since her husband Bobby died of cancer six years ago. Cilla admits she is committed to staying healthy for the future of her three children, Robert, Ben and Jack, who are all in their 20s.

The 62-year-old – who also has a grandson - is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "I take such care of my health since Bobby died. They've already lost one parent and I don't want them to lose another one in the near future.

"I do watch what I eat and I try to exercise. Something like Bobby's death can really make you think about your own future."
