Michael Underwood has pulled out of 'Dancing On Ice' after breaking his ankle last night (23.01.08).
GMTV's roving entertainment reporter was forced to pull out of the ITV talent show after breaking his right ankle during a routine training session with skating partner Melanie Lambert.
He said: "I'm devastated. I'd like to say I was attempting some amazing triple axel or something, but I was just trying to stop!"
A show spokesperson added: "After breaking his ankle last night, Michael Underwood can no longer compete in 'Dancing On Ice'.
"The whole team are sad to see Michael leave the competition in this way and wish him a speedy recovery."
Since the start of the series, TV presenters Sarah Greene and Natalie Pinkham have both been voted off.
Favourites to win Greg Rusedki and pop star Gareth Gates will now compete against five other celebrities including glamour model Linda Lusardi and former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw.
