"Weird and Crazy" David Gest

David Gest can't watch himself on TV- because he thinks he looks "weird" and "crazy".

The star of ITV fly-on-the-wall reality show 'This is David Gest' has confessed to cringing when he saw the show.

David told Britain's Star magazine: "It's hard for me to watch myself, I cringe. When I did see a little bit of it I thought the guy was definitely out to lunch. Crazy. I was doing a reality check: 'Is this really me?' I guess it is me, but he's weird."

The 53-year-old music producer describes 'This is David Gest' as a "warts and all" depiction of his every day life.

He said: "I didn't really have a choice in not showing certain things. I never said: 'You can't show that'."

The ex-husband of Liza Minnelli became known for his crazy antics whilst in the Australian jungle for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' where he regaled fellow contestants with stories about celebrity friends such as Michael Jackson.

Gest recently released his autobiography, entitled 'Simply the Gest'.
